So, if you read my previous article you are already aware of this phenomenal phenomenon called internet marketing. In his article, you’ll learn a few easy tips and tricks to add that much needed zing to your internet marketing efforts.
For the uninitiated, internet marketing is the advertising, publicizing and doing similar stuff for your products, services, or yourself using the internet. Most of you would think you need a website for it. A modern day myth if there could be one! Having a website is definitely a plus but you need not worry if you don’t have one. You are as good without it too.
For starters, get your presence online. If you only have on youtube video or a couple of images or a bunch of books to market/sell, just register or any of the popular video, images or online book merchants.
A good way to let people know about what you are doing is to commission people to write articles about your initiative. You can ask them to upload these articles on popular articles websites like ezinearticles or associatedcontent. Identify a few good bloggers by page rank and readership, especially blogs related to your product/topic. You could pay them to blog about your product with a link to your video, ad, site, campaign etc in the post. However, keep in mind that search engines do not approve of this practice and it also happens to be a blackhat SEO technique. A better way to pull of the same stuff is to search for forums and websites dedicated to your topic. Signup and share your knowledge. This way you also affirm your authority on the topic, earn people’s trust while also garnering a lot of positive publicity for your online marketing campaign.
Viral marketing is the order of the day. Rope in your friends, family and everyone else you know to view your website, video, ad campaign (not if it’s a pay per click or campaign…you obviously do not want to waste money on so many non-productive clicks!) and ask them to spread the word to increase page views.
Social bookmarking is another phenomenon that follows closely in the footsteps of viral marketing. Signup on facebook, orkut, myspace, twitter, and link to your website, webpage, ad campaign or wherever else you want the public to go! Also, signup on delicious, diggg and similar sites with the keywords of your choice to let people know of your existence. These also count as back links to you webpage giving you a solid page rank boost.

I’ve been applying work recently and I found this technique that may increase your chances.
So you’ve just had an interview and it went well. Now you what to make a lasting impression on your interviewer?
Send them a letter thanking them for the interview.
While sending a thank you letters isn’t required or expected (most people don’t send them), it’s very courteous and shows the interviewer you were interested in them, their company and what they had to say if you write post interview thank you letter and send them to all your interviewers.
In today’s highly competitive job market where not many jobs are around, your thank you letter will signal that you are courteous, professional and that you are really grateful for the employer taking the time to interview you.

This is a great real-time strategy game, where you are in command of the armies of two different factions: Magic, which prefers mages and summoned creatures in the battlefield and Tech, which is mainly composed of warriors and their mechanical devices.

Glest is also an open engine that can be used to create new strategy games. The engine is based on XML and contains a set of tools for designers. A few mods already exist.

This is a great game that has been around forever (1996) (it’s Dos based!). Despite it’s age, it still has a strong following.
With visually splendid graphics and with great game play, Death Rally provides a great top-down perspective to the racing game genre.
Your objective: earn money in the battle races, fighting hard for each and every championship point. Each race can be lethal, if driving wasn’t hard enough; your fellow competitors are constantly showering you in a hail of bullets. If you lose, it’s possible to repair your car and cover those bullet holes, but the winner spends his well deserved winnings on new armor, tires or engines.
As you a whizzing along, you can shoot your way through screaming pedestrians, grab some more ammo and do some shady deals for The Dealer. Check your morals at the door, no trick is too dirty in Death Rally, when you’re preparing for The Final Confrontation. Beaf up your car since only the strongest armor, the most souped up engine and the largest guns will see you through to the final battle – The Adversary.
Throughout the game, if you need a break, check out the underground market, some of the things you can purchase are: Landmines, Spiked bumpers, rocket fuel or sabotage. These can assist during the game to some nasty accidents your fellow competitors.
The game is built using a hi-performance 3D-Engine with features texture mapping, lighting effects and shadows. Death Rally creates a level of visual impact that was ahead of it’s time, unseen before in the racing game genre. All cars are 100% rendered, and you are supported by an animated hi-resolution menu system. Great game playability makes sure that you are entertained for hours.
Death Rally supports network multiplay for up to 4 players, or you can just play alone. PC connections can be made via the serial port (if you still have one!) or via the internet.

These tools assist you discovering things like the number of unique visitors, backlinks, traffic, site demographics, what is the website worth etc. Important note – whilst it might sound great that your web site is worth $10, most of the data provided is just estimates, don’t take it to hear, get excited and purchase that new car! In recent years, Squidoo has become one of the most fashionable social networking services that internet marketers use to create websites and achieve high search engine rankings. Squidoo, which in some ways is similar to Blogger, allows individuals to quickly set up a website on any niche that they are interested in. Squiddo provides all of the tools needed to create an eye-catching website, you don’t have to worry about having the required web building experience or technical skills to create a cool website.
Squidoo allows web masters to use pictures and images and also embed videos. While the basic layout of the pages is the same, people that use Squidoo can customize the look+feel to their liking and to advertise their own products. You can also add banners and product images.
Squidoo offers a large number of different ways for internet marketers to make money. These include revenue sharing (between Squiddo and yourself) with Adsense or other sponsored ad companies. They also allow you to make money by using affiliate programs such as Amazon or eBay.
One of the biggest benefits of Squidoo is that their lenses, search engines love them. If you keep them fresh and continuously updated by adding incoming links to them, you should see good traffic results.
Maintenance of Squidoo pages is also very easy to update, the Squiddo administration panel is very easy to drive and there is a good online help system.
To assist you getting going, Squidoo has an internal user community where members can visit other member’s lenses, participate in the forum, make comments and communicate with each members. Some members who are experts and understand the inner workings of Squidoo can generate traffic just from the system itself. However, most people depend on non-members to visit and purchase from their lenses. Use traditional traffic generation techniques (there are plenty documented on this site), a lens can be marketed like any other website.
The major issue with Squidoo is that you don’t own your lenses, you are using their tool, environment and hosting, if the company folds (possible but highly unlikely) you would have no recourse your site is gone.
There are lots of benefits to marketing with Squidoo, but I’ll cover this as a future discussion topic, Squidoo lenses are definitely worth adding to one’s internet marketing arsenal.
