06 Aug 08 a virus that has troubled me most recently
just a few hours ago i got affected by the virus that displays
“Attention[Name]! Some dangerous viruses detected in your system. Microsoft Windows XP files corrupted. This may lead to the destruction of important files in C:\WINDOWS. Download protection software now!
Click OK to download the antispyware. (Recommended)”
in pop-up windows. there is an option of selecting “Yes” or “No”.
whenever i tried to open a folder in explorer it showed this message quite frequently & got same problem in IE.
i have Norton antivirus. but it couldn’t remove it. i searched the net & found that antiviruses even like Mcafee cannot solve the problem.
after more searching i found a solution.
download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. it is free to download. install & scan your PC. repair & when asked to reboot do it.
after rebooting you will find everything ok.
i used this software & have successfully removed the virus from my computer.

05 Feb 08 manual steps for “I DNT HATE MOZILLA BUT USE IE OR ELSE” virus removal
if you get a dialog box “I DNT HATE MOZILLA BUT USE IE OR ELSE” when you try to open Mozilla Firefox, you are infected with a virus. it is called W32.USBWorm which is transmitted through USB drives.
if your anti-virus cannot detect it follow the steps to remove the virus:
1.go to Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del
2.on Process Tab delete Delete only the svchost.exe of your user name
3.type c:heap41a in you address bar of your explorer.
4.right click on svchost icon and goto properties.
4.remove the tick on “read-only” from the general tab and press OK.
5.now Delete all files in that heap41a.
