If you’d like to see an example of Google AdSense in action, visit our homepage you will see AdSense at the top left of this article, at the bottom of the ad, you’ll see “Ads by Google”. The ads themselves are called “Google AdWords” which is a Pay-Per-Click PPC program that lets advertisers purchase advertisements to be displayed on the Goodle network (more on that in a future article).
Here is how Google answers the question — what is AdSense — in its frequently asked questions (FAQ):
” Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant, un-obtrusive Google ads on their website’s content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your users are looking for on your site, you’ll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.”
“The program is free, and combines pay-per-click and pay-per-impression advertising – meaning you get paid for valid clicks on the ads on your site or search results pages as well as impressions on your content pages. So go ahead and try this program.”
A Brief History
Initial incarnations of Adsense were outgrowths of the Google Content-Targeted Advertising program which was launched in early March 2003.
This early program let large web sites integrate Google Content-Targeted Advertising into their websites. Each deal was independently negotiated with Google, and sites with less than 20 million page views couldn’t participate.
Realizing they were onto a good thing, Google invented the AdSense program which was aimed at letting a wider number of smaller web sites the ability to play in the advertising game.

So, due to this even if your web site only gets a few hundred page views per month, you can now apply to the AdSense program and make some income.

Google AdSense is the leader in content-sensitive web-based marketing. Web site owners place Google AdSense JavaScript code on their web pages in order to allow Google’s ad servers to show context sensitive advertisements on your site (Google Adwords).
Google’s T+Cs can very strict such that many web sites cannot use adsense adverts at all. They are either denied from joining the program, or in a circumstance that is becoming more and more common some people do not wish to do business with Google. A number of content publishers are also finding their Adsense accounts are being disabled for reasons that are completely beyond their control. The problem is that most of the alternatives to Google’s Adsense aren’t suitable. Finishing up my series of articles on Internet Marketing, I’m going to cover the hype around internet marketing these days, the result being tons and tons of articles and guides on internet marketing which you are too lazy, busy or muddled to read through. So, here is the shortest guide to help your business pick up with the help of internet marketing. Ten short and sweet sentences that will change your life (at least your internet marketing campaigns!) for sure.
1. No black hat search engine optimization techniques, stick to white hat SEO techniques if you want to be in the search engines’ good books.
2. Use emails to your advantage. Creating and maintaining email lists could seem tedious and fruitless initially but with time you’ll learn that you have more business and publicity coming your way through these lists than you had expected. And the most important thing about bulk emails…do not ever spam! That’s a killer. The lesser and better emails you inundate your contacts with, the more valued and read your mails will be.
3. If you have a large base of products or services and aren’t too hung up about sharing a small percentage of the profit, then you might initiate an affiliate marketing program. Signing up with biggies like amazon and ebay is also a good idea if you only want associates and reseller campaigns.
4. Signup with a good web analytics program. Most of the good ones are free. This will help you analyze what’s happening with your website and your internet marketing campaign down to the last customer’s geographic location.
5. Signup with a Search Engine Marketing or Search Engine Optimization program. These folks will help you identify the glitches in your internet marketing strategies and also smoothen them out. Don’t forget to use coupon codes to avail of special discounts and freebies when you are purchasing anything online.
6. Keep updating your email list contacts. Having a million contacts that trash your mail without a glance is as good as having zero contacts. Do not buy mailing lists from trashy mlm websites and fakes on social networking sites selling them by dozens!
7. Write a few good articles about your site/product, or commission people to write them and publish them on well known portals. Join forums dealing with your topic, become an active participant and point people in the direction of your products!
8. Press releases online or getting into the news even for a short while will work wonders for your internet marketing campaign. Once people know about your site product, generating more following should be relatively easier provided your product, service is up to scratch!
9. Freebies attract people and also generate more publicity. You might want to organize small contests, quizzes with prizes for the winners. This is an established internet marketing ploy.
10. Lastly, blog or tweet about yourself and your product, get interactive with your customers, audience…nothings works better than the personal touch!

So, if you read my previous article you are already aware of this phenomenal phenomenon called internet marketing. In his article, you’ll learn a few easy tips and tricks to add that much needed zing to your internet marketing efforts.
For the uninitiated, internet marketing is the advertising, publicizing and doing similar stuff for your products, services, or yourself using the internet. Most of you would think you need a website for it. A modern day myth if there could be one! Having a website is definitely a plus but you need not worry if you don’t have one. You are as good without it too.
For starters, get your presence online. If you only have on youtube video or a couple of images or a bunch of books to market/sell, just register or any of the popular video, images or online book merchants.
A good way to let people know about what you are doing is to commission people to write articles about your initiative. You can ask them to upload these articles on popular articles websites like ezinearticles or associatedcontent. Identify a few good bloggers by page rank and readership, especially blogs related to your product/topic. You could pay them to blog about your product with a link to your video, ad, site, campaign etc in the post. However, keep in mind that search engines do not approve of this practice and it also happens to be a blackhat SEO technique. A better way to pull of the same stuff is to search for forums and websites dedicated to your topic. Signup and share your knowledge. This way you also affirm your authority on the topic, earn people’s trust while also garnering a lot of positive publicity for your online marketing campaign.
Viral marketing is the order of the day. Rope in your friends, family and everyone else you know to view your website, video, ad campaign (not if it’s a pay per click or campaign…you obviously do not want to waste money on so many non-productive clicks!) and ask them to spread the word to increase page views.
Social bookmarking is another phenomenon that follows closely in the footsteps of viral marketing. Signup on facebook, orkut, myspace, twitter, and link to your website, webpage, ad campaign or wherever else you want the public to go! Also, signup on delicious, diggg and similar sites with the keywords of your choice to let people know of your existence. These also count as back links to you webpage giving you a solid page rank boost.
Now what are you waiting for, go ahead and make more money!

The biggest advantage Internet Marketing has over the rest of the marketing media is reaching out to the target audience. How does this work? Well, internet marketing is mostly search engine based. I’ve been applying work recently and I found this technique that may increase your chances.
So you’ve just had an interview and it went well. Now you what to make a lasting impression on your interviewer?
Send them a letter thanking them for the interview.
While sending a thank you letters isn’t required or expected (most people don’t send them), it’s very courteous and shows the interviewer you were interested in them, their company and what they had to say if you write post interview thank you letter and send them to all your interviewers.
In today’s highly competitive job market where not many jobs are around, your thank you letter will signal that you are courteous, professional and that you are really grateful for the employer taking the time to interview you.
With a quick search online, you can find lots of free thank you letters, or sample interview thank you letters. Use these examples as guides on who you should structure and what you should say in your interview thank you letter. No matter how busy the potential company is, it’s always nice to receive a genuine “thank you.” from someone.
Just make it a habit of sending out job interview thank you letters and you should see how quickly you find yourself on the short list of top candidates.

As you are aware, Google offer publishers a tool for placing adverts on your site, Adsense. By tuning your approach to search engine keywords you can make a regular Passive Income from the Internet. Over the years, studies by internet marketers have been performed into how they can maximize their income with Adsense, bellow are my tips on a proven approach.
Many web site owners spend lots of effort searching high and low for that magic list of high paying keywords that no one else knows, it’s quite common to see these “High Paying Keywords” questions in Internet forums, however successful publishers use the follow formula:
Your Web sites Income = Visitors x CTR x Click Value
Where,
1. Visitors – The most visitors, the more page impressions and the more chance you will get a visitor clicking on ad within the page
2. CTR (Click Through Rate) – The more visitors click an ad on your site, the more Google counts towards your income
3. Click Adsense Value (High Paying Clicks) = Keywords – The higher the value of an ad keyword, the more income you will receive.
When Internet advertising was new, it was common to get high paying ad clicks of $30 – $50 from Adsense, but these days are long gone. There are still high paying niches, such as Cancer, Debt, Insurance, your limited marketing budget doesn’t challenge rival large players websites to get traffic. Whilst not impossible, my suggestion is not to focus on these niches.
So what niche do you focus on? Well, there are lots of good paying keywords which have a lot less competition from other sites which you can rank more easily rank higher in search engines and enjoy link traffic within an acceptable Internet marketing budget.
