So, here is the shortest guide to help your business pick up with the help of internet marketing. Ten short and sweet sentences that will change your life (at least your internet marketing campaigns!) for sure.


1. No black hat search engine optimization techniques, stick to white hat SEO techniques if you want to be in the search engines’ good books.


2. Use emails to your advantage. Creating and maintaining email lists could seem tedious and fruitless initially but with time you’ll learn that you have more business and publicity coming your way through these lists than you had expected. And the most important thing about bulk emails…do not ever spam! That’s a killer. The lesser and better emails you inundate your contacts with, the more valued and read your mails will be.


3. If you have a large base of products or services and aren’t too hung up about sharing a small percentage of the profit, then you might initiate an affiliate marketing program. Signing up with biggies like amazon and ebay is also a good idea if you only want associates and reseller campaigns.


4. Signup with a good web analytics program. Most of the good ones are free. This will help you analyze what’s happening with your website and your internet marketing campaign down to the last customer’s geographic location.


5. Signup with a Search Engine Marketing or Search Engine Optimization program. These folks will help you identify the glitches in your internet marketing strategies and also smoothen them out. Don’t forget to use coupon codes to avail of special discounts and freebies when you are purchasing anything online.


6. Keep updating your email list contacts. Having a million contacts that trash your mail without a glance is as good as having zero contacts. Do not buy mailing lists from trashy mlm websites and fakes on social networking sites selling them by dozens!

9. Freebies attract people and also generate more publicity. You might want to organize small contests, quizzes with prizes for the winners. This is an established internet marketing ploy.


10. Lastly, blog or tweet about yourself and your product, get interactive with your customers, audience…nothings works better than the personal touch!
